Most of the set currently built is from the late XIII century and the first half of the next.

The castle consists of a rectangular courtyard enclosed by walls care unit, which is accessed by two doors: The south side is perfect arch back and go relatively narrow; the west side, wider and broken arch, was the front door, putting in communication the defensive stronghold with the medieval village.

This had three doors and was surrounded by a wall that was connected to the castle which broke the symmetry of the set to protect a small fountain. Inside there was the Town House, the parish church and the chapel of Nossa Senhora of Prado.
