The Casa Allen was built in the last years of the 1920s by the 3rd Viscount Villar d'Allen to his residence by architect Marques da Silva project.

It was built at a time when the Porto city has witnessed the emergence of a large number of palaces, which printed the city a bourgeois brand. It is currently allocated to the Northern Regional Culture Direction.
